Can a Trial Balance Report export be scheduled with Rightworks Transaction Pro Exporter for QuickBooks Online?

RESOLUTION

When exporting the Trial Balance Report from QuickBooks Online with Exporter, there is the option to schedule future exports. The schedule can be one time or recurring. This option allows the export schedule to be configured and allows report to be exported on regular intervals without having to initiate them in Exporter.

Below are the steps to set up a scheduled export of the Trial Balance Report.

Step 1: Get Started

To get started, login with your Intuit ID at https://importer.transactionpro.com/TpiPlus/

Step 2: Launch Exporter

Click EXPORT to open the Exporter.

Step 3: Schedule Export

On the right side of Exporter, click SCHEDULE EXPORT.

Step 4: Define Scheduled Export

Click the ADD NEW button to define a new scheduled export. This will open a screen to capture the required export options and export schedule.

Step 5: Set Data Filters

Select TRIAL BALANCE as the Export Type.

Step 6: Select Filters.

The available Filter is Accounting Method: Choose either ACCRUAL or CASH.

Step 7: Configure Schedule

The schedule configuration must be set. The Scheduling Options are:

  • One Time
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly

Depending on the Option selected, different variables will be presented to select.

If DAILY is selected, select the Start Date and how many days before the export should recur.

For WEEKLY, select the Start Date and the day of the week that it should recur on.

For MONTHLY, select the Start Date and the day of the month that it should recur on.

Step 8: Complete Export Schedule Setup

When the scheduled export configuration is completed, click on the SCHEDULE EXPORT button.

Step 9: Export Schedule Setup Completed

The message YOUR EXPORT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED SUCCESSFULLY should appear along the top of the screen. On the scheduled date, the exported data will be received by the user creating the scheduled export via email as an attached .CSV file.

Step 10: Additional Options

If the scheduled export is no longer needed, the option exists to delete the scheduled export or mark it as inactive.

Click on the box beside the export file and select DELETE or MARK AS INACTIVE.

If marked as Inactive, the option is available to MARK IT AS ACTIVE, if needed at a later date.
