COMMON ISSUE RESOLUTION
Invalid Account Type
Invalid Account SubType
  • See this article for valid Account SubTypes (Detail Type).
  • Valid Account SubTypes depend on the Account Type.
Wrong Currency Imports
  • Multi-currency not turned on in QuickBooks Online Account and Settings.
  • If an invalid currency is imported, Account will be assigned the default currency type. 
Account Number Not Importing
  • Use Account Number Option not turned on in QuickBooks Online Account and Settings.
Sub-Account Name Not Importing
  • Sub-Account Name must include full name with a colon between each level with no space on either side of the colon. 
  • Example: ACCOUNT:SUB-ACCOUNT
Account SubType (Detail Type) will not update
  • On an existing Account, the SubType must exist for the current Account Type.
Account Type will not update
  • On an existing Account, the Account Type cannot be updated for certain types if transactions already exist for the Account.
  • (Bank, Undeposited Funds, Inventory)
