"Error validating Customer ID: Invalid Integer"

 

RESOLUTION

 

This message appears because QuickBooks Online is not allowing Rightworks Transaction Pro Importer to save the Customer name. This is typically the result of one of the two situations below: 

 

  • The value mapped to the field Customer already exists in QuickBooks Online as either a Vendor or an Employee. QuickBooks Online will not allow the same name to exist in multiple lists.
  • There are extra spaces between the words in the Customer field in either the import file or in QuickBooks Online. Review and remove any extra spacing.

If neither of the two situations above resolve the error, then log into your QuickBooks Online account and create a new Customer. Cut and paste the Customer name from the import file into the Display Name As field, save the Customer, and see if QuickBooks Online generates an error to help troubleshoot this name.
