Inventory Adjustment - Item Value Not Updating
print icon

ISSUE

When an Inventory Adjustment is imported into QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) using Rightworks Transaction Pro Importer, only the Item quantity updates, not the quantity

and value.

RESOLUTION

When importing an Inventory Adjustment, the Item quantity adjustment and the Item value adjustment have to be imported as two separate imports into QBDT.

The same import file can be used. Simply map the quantity adjustment and import, and then map the value adjustment and import.

Other things to note when performing an Inventory Adjustment import:

  1. The Items need to exist in QBDT prior to importing.
  2. If using Sites (available in Advanced Inventory in QB Enterprise), QBDT only allows one Site per Inventory Adjustment so therefore, a different Inventory Adjustment will need to be imported for each Site.
