ISSUE

 

As of 2008, Intuit dropped support for setting Tax1Total and Tax2Total via the QBSDK. Users that have been using these fields to set GST/PST (Canada) or VAT (UK) will not longer have access to these fields once they upgrade to QuickBooks 2008 or later.

 

RESOLUTION

 

The workaround is as follows:

 

Use the following fields:

 

Sales Tax Code (set to a valid tax or VAT code) on each line

Is Tax Included - optional flag to include the tax in the amount on all transaction lines
