Why do new Products and Services that set up during an import into QuickBooks Online set up with the Accounts of Uncategorized Income or Uncategorized Expense?

RESOLUTION

If a Products and Services in an import does not already exist in QuickBooks Online, Transaction Pro Importer will create the missing Products and Services as Service type and use the Accounts of Uncategorized Income or Uncategorized Expense.

The setup of the new Products and Services item can be updated manually in QuickBooks Online after importing.

It is suggested that all Products and Services are set up in QuickBooks Online prior to importing to ensure transactions post to the correct General Ledger account.
